Pattern license

What you can do with a pattern you bought.

Last updated October 25, 2026

Yours to use

A pattern is licensed to the person who bought it. You may print it as many times as you need and make the item as often as you like.

Selling what you make

You may sell finished items that you sew or crochet yourself by hand, in small quantities. A credit such as "made from a Craft Lovers pattern" is welcome but not required. Production in a factory or by hired makers needs our written permission.

Not allowed

  • Sharing, uploading or emailing the PDF files, or printed copies of them, to other people.
  • Selling or giving away the pattern, in whole or in part, including translated or redrawn versions.
  • Using the photos or text from the pattern or this site in your own listings.

Classes

You may teach a class with a pattern when every student has bought their own copy.
